TFG Wint payout for Cellphone insurance

I bought a phone for my wife and i had it insured i told the lady who was helping me that i was buying the phone for my wife cz i had my phone and she said its fine and she took my wife
details and the insurance agent called me and i also gave them my wife's details as well, it so happened that my wife's phone was and i went in to submit the claim like they told me to do and the FE staff told me to wait for 2-3 weeks and i waited but there was nothing happening i went in to find out if there was a problem so they told me the insurance people are not picking up the phone well after almost 2 months of waiting i went in to ask for the insurance people so that i could phone them myself funny enough it didn't even take me 2 rings they picked my my phone and they told me that they can't payout the phone because it was used by the 3rd party. i want to know why did they go through with the deal even though i told the in the beginning that the phone wasn't gonna be used by me and why did they pretend to take my wife's details while knowingly that they won't pay for 3rd party? this is an inconvenience because if they told me from the start i would have had the phone insured elsewhere
