Bata Shoes
Disgusting service

I went into Bata with my mother on a Friday afternoon to buy new Bubblegum shoes for my children. (As they are the only stockists of these shoes that I can find in the Vaal, I go quite regularly and have never had any problems with bad service. On the contrary, the assistants have always been friendly and helpful). On this occasion, we went into the shop - 2 assistants were sitting at the back of the shop laughing and joking and one was busy on her phone. The other assistant was trying very hard to see how much food she could eat at one time - my mother noticed this as the Bubblegum shoes are at the back of the shop. We were ignored the entire time we were in the shop (one of the assistants did ask if she could help but I was still looking for shoes I liked). When I did ask for a size 5 in one of the shoes - she rudely told me it starts at a 6. All this whilst looking away from me as though she didn't want eye contact. I then said that there was no need to be so rude as the tone of her voice was not exactly friendly. I then took the 2 pairs, paid and left. Another lady who had been in the shop with us, had picked up a pair of shoes and as no-one was prepared to help, she left.
