I ABSOLUTELY DREAD using this Spar and only go in there when absolutely necessary. This morning, as many times before, I was waiting at the Delhi for Service. We were 3 Customers with 2 African woman working behind the counter. There was no speed, or sense of urgency as this seems to be a Xhosa problem in the Eastern Cape. Yes, I said it! They just don't know how to move faster. After waiting for 10 minutes, I decided to once again go to the office. There were an elderly gentleman and a woman in the office and someone sent another employee to attend to my order. I then saw the Store Manager, Cedric Gerber at the Cigarette counter where I was waiting to pay for my goods (only 1 cashier was on duty and she already had a queue). I told him that he should make a plan on either employing staff that are committed to their jobs or he needs to wake up these current employees who have no commitment to customer service. Now this is not the first time I had to go to the office to get service in their Delhi. You never see the owner, so obviously he is not intent on profits or service and is happy to eke out an existance.
