Refusing to accept responsibility

15 months ago I bought a notebook from HFC. Through no fault of mine the keyboard got damaged (condensation because of heat generated and then cooling off while in sleep mode). They just refuse to accept any responsibility, shifting the blame to the manufacturer (do not repair liquid damage). They just point blank refuse to consider that I have a point. I have paid for a machine that I have the pleasure to use for 6 months before IT malfunctioned. My contract is with HFC, not the manufacturer. THEIR contract is with the manufacturer. Their attitude is pathetic. When I look at the number of complaints against them I see a pattern.
