Supervisor Service a disgrace

Yesterday me and my partner visited the Mr Price Home in Lynnridge Mall. We saw the European Dining Room table and chairs and was really interested in making the purchase, but we first wanted to confirm the type of wood of the furniture. There was a sales guy nearby, and was more than willing to help us. Unfortunately after enquiring with some off the other staff he was unable to confirm the type of wood and explained that the person from that department was off - I fully understand that people have days off. My partner then requested Head Offices number so we could confirm some detail with them before making the purchase. The sales guy said he will get the contact detail from the supervisor. Upon his return he said that the supervisor said that should we require Head Office's details we should go and look on the Internet. I walker over to the supervisor and asked her why she could not provide me with the detail, and her response "If you need contact details, its all on the Internet, go look there, its not my job". I just feel that this is not how you treat customers, whether or not a purchase will be made. I doubt I will ever go to that branch again.
