Express service a misrepresentation

ON Monday 22 April 2014 I purchased shoes on internet and made the payment for shoes as well as for express delivery service. The internet states that the express delivery service is within 2 bsuiness days. They only requested that I quote the reference number which I did. There was no request that the proof of payment must be sent - this is as I clearly understand that the reference number is the only requirement. Now, after submitting the proof of payment, I am informed it will take another day or 2 before they can match the payment.
I cannot see how the company can ever make the 48 hour promise of express delivery. It is misrepresentation!
