During the end of July I injured my ankle and bought a health shoe at Green Cross Greenacres for the amount of R699.00. I misplaced my purchase slip and returned the shoe for an exchange. The Sales Lady after concurring with her Branch Manager who was sitting in the office, confirmed that I can choose a replacement shoe for the value of R570.00. She explained that since I don't have my slip to prove that the shoe was R699.00 when I bought it, I now have to choose a shoe to the value of R570.00. Which I did and after a whole 15 minutes, I returned to the counter with the replacement shoe, the Branch Manager emerged from her office and abruptly got rid of me by refusing to exchange the shoe. I eventually left the store and reported the matter to the CPA and Greeen Cross Customer Service. I found my original slip of purchase and it confirmed that the price of the shoe was R699.00 and not R570.00. On the day that I tried to exchange the shoe, the bunch of those particular shoe brand was standing on the FOR SALE counter at a price of R545.00. A whole R154.00 was discounted off the original price. Was mine the only sold? Poor sales equals bad customer service?
