Bad service, damages packaging

Two weeks ago I wanted to buy a 12 cup coffee maker as well as an electric egg boiler for a friend as a gift set. Both products were By: Dsign products. The packaging on display shelves were damaged and I felt that I can't give damaged packaging gifts. I have asked two sales people to have a look back in the storeroom to see whether there aren't damaged packaging goods I wanted. Without checking, the response was: "no, we don't have stock".
I walked out of HiFi Corporation and went straight to Clicks. They had both the 12 Place Coffee Maker and Electric Egg Boiler and the packing weren't damaged. They also had loads to choose from. And guess what I've done? I bought one of each. HiFi Corp needs to train their sales people or otherwise you'll lose clients.
