Poor Quality of Fresh Produce Goods

Over time I have become increasingly frustated with the deteriorating quality of Woolworths Food fresh produce (eg. Fruit, Veg etc). However, I have never complained and always gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Firstly, if the pricing of their fresh produce was similar to their competitors I would respect that this is a perishable commodity. However, since their goods are significantly more expensive due to the increased focus on quality, quality control, customer service etc I feel that enough is enough as some of these attributes are perceived versus the reality.

I just bit into an apple which appeared very firm and fresh only to find myself bitting into a vile and horrible taste. Yes, the apple was completely rotten from the inside. This is not what you expect when you are paying R25 for a 1kg apples in comparison to the R12, 99 you would be paying at PnP or Fruit & Veg. Other than this experience, I have also recently complained about the fact that alot of the fruit being bruised and overipe.

Come on Woolworths, I dont mind paying the price but I expect the quality and freshness that goes with it. Please "jack up" on this as it is becoming ridiculous.
