10 bad apples too many

Shops, Products, Services

I have a hectic week. I work long hours. I quickly pop out to get some fruit to keep me going. I buy a bag of apples and get back to work, sit down at my desk - the first apple I pull out is not just bruised and floury, waxy and old (bordering on shrivelled) but its actually starting to rot. Ok, it happens. Fruit is natural and so it's also natural to have some bad ones. I'm ok with that. But then I take out the next one and its the same.By the fifth one I had pulled out I was mad. I know I could go back and get my money back but I don't have the time! I cannot believe the lack of quality control. There was no best before date on the pack so I dont know if it was past the sell by date or if it had been like that on the shelf for some time. Apart from being so frustrated - and having wasted my time and money - I'm so disappointed because I have always had a policy of buying fruit and veg from Woolworths and really wanted to make the changeover. On my way home from work i stopped and bought a packet of (perfect) Woolies apples. PnP - its so sad that you are living up this assumption of your fresh produce being of poorer standards. And what a waste of money (and apples) for me.
