My run around and fight with Edcon started in November 2013. When I spoke with Mr Mohammed Kassim he told me that my account was in arrears and said we could arrange a payment plan to get me back on track. We agreed that between November and February I would need to pay -R300 each month to get back on track. During this conversation I discovered that an EFT payment I made in October was not reflecting on my payment history which also reflected badly on my credit record. Mr Kassim told me to send him the proof I emailed the proof of payment and got no response. The accounts dept informed me a few days later that the arrangement is invalid. I called about 7 different numbers to accounts, remittance and collections still no one could help, about two weeks had passed. Sandra from accounts (GP) told me to go to a JET store nearby and speak with the manager. I went to Golden Acre and the manager said it is impossible to trace the payment and told me to come back on Monday, I did and she was on leave. I paid -R578 in December to avoid further troubles. My issue now is that EDCON owe me the amount (R230) that supposedly cant be traced and it still is a negative on my credit record.
