On 18 September 2013 I gave my Green Cross shoes (wedge sandals) in for re-covering. I was informed that they would have to order the leather for me. I followed up a month later and they still had not received their leather. I called them a month later and I was informed that they were going to receive the leather the following week and I could collect them by the beginning of December. I went in to collect my shoes on 2 December, only to discover that my instructions where not followed, only the wedges had been re-covered and that the one piece of leather on the left wedge even had a small cut in the leather. They then informed me that the initial amount of R213 I had paid in September was only for the wedge bases of the shoes. I accepted his explanation and gave him the benefit of the doubt, upon which I paid another R107 for the toes to be covered in leather and the nick to be removed and replaced with leather that didn't have any cuts in.

On 10 January 2014, I went to collect my shoes, they went missing and I have also not received the promised call from the manager to find a solution to resolve the missing shoes and repair cost incurred.
