My husband purchased a Samsung S3 at HI Store (part of the TFG) on CellC in December 2012. The guy with the name of Alvin assisted us.he switched the phone on in store and gave me the option of using my own simcard or the Cellc simcard.i told him that if it's not problem i will use my own simcard which was at the time Vodacom during the time i had the phone i changed to 8ta.he sold insurance to us and explained the importance of having insurance on this phone.we then started paying R150.00 pm for insurance.on the 2 Jan 2014 i lost my phone and was devasted that not only did i lose my phone but personal info and pics although i was confident that im covered.i contacted 8ta to blacklist the phone but they couldnt and said i need to contact cellc to block the IMEI number, cellc cant block the IMEI number as it was not activated on the cellc sim instore.it's been two weeks and the store is passing the buck to cellc, 8ta and we going in circles. at the end of the day it's there fault they need to take the time and explian insurance to the customers and not offer the option of not using the simcard that comes with the phone.i am in need of my phone i have not been paying R150pm for nothing
