Inefficient Cashing Over Peak Shopping Periods

On Sunday, 29 December 2013, we shopped at the store which was quite busy seeing as there was a 50% discount on bedding and many other items. We stood in queues for more than forty minutes to pay for our purchases. We expected there to be queues due to the many shoppers and numerous specials however what we didn't bank on was cashiers cashing up and leaving their tills while there were still long queues of customers waiting to be served. This is completely unacceptable and very poor service to your customers. I heard other customers complaining that this practise seems to be the norm at this branch of Edgars. I am not surprised that customers were irate at the poor display of a lack of efficiency. Management of the store need to ensure that there are sufficient cashiers on duty during peak periods and that all tills are manned while there are queues of people waiting ot be served. Or else... have some seating areas for the elderly and frail if we are expected to wait for a lone cashier to deal with all these irate, tired customers.
