On 10/11/13 I purchased a flash phone and printer from them (for airtime sales) and Rica'd the phone immediately by them.By 13/11/13 I could still not use it to sell airtime as the Rica did not go thru. I then went to another store and did the Rica and the phone was active within 20 minutes.
I then started selling airtime and after 3 days when the battery was starting to go flat I attempted to charge the phone to no avail. It would not accept a charge.
After having use of the phone for 3 days I took it back to Pep. I was then informed that I was not entitled to exchange the phone for a new one as it was now day 8 and that could only be done after 7 days - not withstanding the fact that I had only had 3 days use of it. I was given the contact number of the supplier but I have no desire to engage with Pep Stores suppliers, that is their duty as far as I am concerned.
It has now been 9 weeks that I have waited and at a conservative estimate I have lost over R"40 000 in turn over! Not to mention the loss of confidence of my customers. All I get from Pep Stores is a smile and a shrug - "It's out of their hands".
