My wife bought me a watch during December 2012. The strap for the watch was too small, and we went back to Galaxy & Co in Centurion mall on the 26th of December 2012.

The watch was taken by the person behind the till and we were given a repair slip as proof that they have the watch. A Galaxy & Co employee phoned my wife to inform her that the strap could not be made larger, and that we needed to go to the store to look for something else or to get a refund.

We went there on the 3rd of February 2013 and that is were my complaint originates. There was no watch that I wanted, so I requested a refund. The man behind the till proceeded by telling me that he could do the refund, but that they didn't know where the watch was, and that he would first have to "investigate" what happened to the watch before he could do the refund.

An argument ensued, as it is an internal issue if they lost the watch, and it ended up that he phoned his branch manager who also did not want to give me the refund.

Only after I insisted that I speak to the manager, was it agreed that I could get my refund immediately.

I feel that G&C tried to not refund me by playing the "It is lost" card.
