Price you see is the price you pay

I went into the American Swiss (Phoenix Plaza) today to buy a Ring for my wife because of our anniversary. After a while my wife decided on a Ring that the price on the shelf showed R699. When the lady who helped us went to the till and took the ring out of the casing that it was placed on the shelf with tell us that the ring was wrongly marked and now the price attached to the ring is R799.I told that it is my customer right that the price I see is the price I pay. She phoned her Area Manager who told her that we cannot get it at that price. the only thing that they can offer is a 5% discount. Were is the customer rights gone. I had previously purchased from this store but I will not support them again. In fact a few minutes later I bought a beautiful ring at Sterns in the same complex. American Swiss lost out on a deal
