Policy on returning an item

Today we went to YDE to return an item of clothing. As it was purchased on a bank debit card, the account had to be credited with that amount (which takes 5 days). We then purchased another item, in replacement of original, for which we used the same card. We are now out of pocket, as we have to wait for the original amount to be credited, whereas other clothing stores usually exchange, and either refund the difference, or you pay it in! Totally unacceptable business practice,!
