Me and my husband paid R21 000 cash at Geen & Richards for a lounge suite in 2009. We were told its leather upper. We went back to the store in 2011 to report that the entire lounge suite is peeling off. We were told that they can't help cos the 1 year guarantee was over. We went back again in 2012, because we felt cheated after realizing that even the description on the invoice was not matching the product we were given. The manager promised to get back to us, and nothing happened. Beginning of 2013, we back again, I was told that the manager was on leave and they can't help. Got to the store again, and the rude manager said there's nothing she can do for me. I called their customer care. They told me that they don't give guarantee on the leather, but I explained to them that my lounge suite is plastic. Then they promised to send their local repairer to come and confirm that and see what action can be taken from there. I waited and waited and nothing. I called them, they kept on promising, then finally they decided to tell me that they can't help me. I went to their local repairer myself, who confirmed that the lounge is synthetic. R21000 Gone, down the drain, Ripped off!
