It is to my disgust that I have been treated this way by Hi- Fi Corporation. I had bought a 51" plasma tv from Hi-Fi corporation. Further to it having been convinced by Hi-Fi we had also taken a extended warranty of 3 years costing me a further R 1400.Having paid the cost of the TV and the extended warranty to them, it seems like they have abandoned us the day we purchased the TV from them. Not very long from purchase the TV had major colour problems, from when I had been complaining. Every attendant that tries to help us promises to help, but does not get back to us at all. We called numerous attendants over the past year, we have faxed and emailed documents as proof of purchase, but we are left with no help. Hi-Fi should take responsibility of the products they sell to their customers. They should focus on their current guarantee period before even extended warranty. There is one fundamental rule we can rely on in the South African legal system. What is reasonable to expect. The very basis consumer protection act. Hi-Fi has to solve this issue, as it is only reasonable. I have spend my time which has a value, to purchase, use and have confidence in the product you sell. not happy at al
