I purchased a folding up stool from Mr Price Home for R129 few months back. I only used the chair for the 1st time last Sunday. Whilst sitting on the chair, the chair broke to my surprise. It was highly embarrassing as my husband had to help me up from the floor. I called the Mr Price Home store in Century City where I purchased the stool from, the lady advised me to bring the chair in. At this stage I informed her that I no longer had the cash receipt slip. She said I should still bring the chair into the store. We went to Mr Price Home in Canalwalk on 18/12/13; I took the stool, which was as new, with the barcode label and price still attached. We explained what happened to manager on duty Rodney. He was so abrupt and unfriendly. Rodney refused to assist me with a replacement chair. I explained to him that the chair broke after I only sat on it for a few minutes. This was clearly a factory fault. Rodney then proceeded to give me a R30 voucher, for a chair that I paid R129 for. I have never experienced such bad customer service. The manager, refused to assist me. Can someone please call me and assist. Highly disappointed in the service I received from Mr Price Home.
