Willowbrook Recliners
Unsuitable recliner - no return permitted

What was promised to be an exceptionally astounding recliner chair (which could even help a frail person to stand up) was ordered from Willowbrook Recliners at an equally amazing price of R23 500. The chair was stated on the delivery invoice to be of standard height and standard width. Once the chair was delivered, it was found within the hour that it was totally unsuitable for the purpose for which it was intended and our father was unable to sit in the chair for any length of time without sliding out of it, almost on to the floor. Thus the chair was not only unsafe but also totally unsuitable. The chair was delivered on 6 Aug and Willowbrook were informed of the problem on the same day. To date, they have totally refused to take the chair back under any condition nor refund any or all of the purchase price. We are left with an exorbitantly priced chair that cannot be used! Willowbrook Recliners claim that it was custom made, despite what was stated on their invoice. We did choose the fabric in which the chair was covered but they will not even consider a refund less the - R1350 for the fabric. A total disregard of the Consumer Protection Act. We are following up with the Council
