Product availability = lowering of credit limits

I just decreased my Edgars credit limit by a substantial amount. After numerous complaints about product availability in Vredenburg there is no need for a whole lot of credit. Edgars was always my main account, boosted with make-up / perfume purchases. However since I have stopped purchasing the latter due to unavailability, I don't need all the credit. I was in store over December (bought nothing), and only 1 of the 10 tills were manned, an awful sight.
Don't build pie in the sky when interpreting consumer purchasing - consumers ARE spending money in the West Coast - I am spending quite a bit on clothes, costumes, make-up, perfumes. I'm just not spending it at Edgars. My Truworths account has skyrocketed over the past year. They do so much better with very little floor space. You have all the floor space but leave consumers cold and irritable.
This is a prime example of how 1 store can affect the entire chain - with less credit I can spend less - also at Edgars stores in neighbouring areas. When consumers start lowering their own credit limit, you effectively lose thousands. Whats more, the community arranged for a weekly shuttle service to Canal Walk for their Christmas shopping
