EDGARS DEBITS R18, 000 IN ONE MONTH

I have been a proud Edgars account holder since 1990. Suddenly, Edgars randomly debited my account with a lump sumover R18, 000 out of nowhere in July 2012. Obviously i did not spend R18, 000 with Edgars in one month or at any time. I queried this in writing repeatedly. R18, 000 is over twice the spending limit on the account. They harass me weekly with calls and sms to settle this spurious amount which is uder dispute. If they would just spend the time fixing it instead of harassing me, they would save themselves a lot of effort. Each time I have to explain that it is under query and dispute, ask it to be escalated (again), and then wait for the next ignorant call.. Despite it being under dispute, they also refelct non-payment of their unexplained debit on my credit record; this is blatanly unfair and in violation of the National Credit Act which I now have a copy of. They are at fault, yet they persecute Do they really not only need to make a quick buck, albeit in error, but then put you to the inconvenience of sorting out their error, despite their continued inability to explain and resolve this issue and lack of goodwill in trying to do so even for long standing loyal clients.
