Edgars is FORCING me to increase credit limit?

On 19/7 I contacted Edgars to inform them that my credit limit had been increased WITHOUT my permission (only found this out when I received my statement which stated that the credit limit had been increased at my request when I had in fact declined for the 100th time). I asked them to decrease it immediately. Apparently, this was done- I still have the e-mail I received stating that it had been decreased, as per my request. Imagine then my surprise when I went to make a purchase on 4/8 to find that my credit limit was still sitting at the old (higher) amount! When I asked the cashier, she told me that the 'system automatically updates'. So, I am forced to accept a higher credit limit? I don't want it. I left a note with my contact details and asked the cashier to get someone to contact me -nothing in over 3 weeks. Add to this the jacket I bought for my daughter in June/July is now opening at the seam on the sleeve and the socks that I paid R70 for 2 pairs is shedding wool/ acrylic at a rate that would shame a dog with the mange! I am quite fed up at all of this. Is there anybody at Edgars who is competent enough to sort out this mess?
