Blatant Discrimination

I am a club member. Most years, my Christmas voucher never arrives in the post and I go to a branch, they can see I havent used the voucher and they give me a copy to use. My aunt (who is NOT a club member) and cousin have both received their R75 Christmas vouchers two weeks ago. I have not. I went to N1 City and informed the manager, who told me that things have changed. Since Absa has taken over their books, Edgars is no longer giving all account holders Christmas vouchers, but instead a randomly selected few customers will receive vouchers. There is nothing they at the branch can do. I expressed my disbelief and disgust at this blatant form of discrimination against some customers for a randomly unavailable reason but was met with a total lack of interest.
I immediately put the items I was intending to purchase down and left the store. I dont see any reason to continue supporting a shop that discriminates against certain customers. Edgars, to treat your customers like this makes no sense. Are you really quite happy to lose loyal, longstanding customers because you cant be bothered to issue a R75 voucher to them at Christmas? A very strange marketing strategy indeed!
