Edgars has been billing me for a 'Life Membership Fee' for the past year now. I have never requested this service to be activated on my account. I am told by Boitumelo Motsoeneng that this service of R36pm was activated on 15July2012.I have last used my Edgards card to shop in 2010 sometime. Boitumelo advised me that Edgars is not able to supply me with any proof that I have requested this service. As a consumer, I have the right to request such proof (the CPA act stipulates this)
If this service was activated by an Edgards agent, then this is tantamount to and I will therefore proceed by opening a case of against such agent.
I need the following:
1) Proof that I gave Edgars permission to activate this service on my account.(signed document or call recording)
2) A full refund of all the monies billed to my account since 15July2012
3) What process to follow if this was indeed activated by an Edgars agent
4) Details of the retail Ombudsman in order to lodge an official complaint
5) How to lodge a bad service complaint against Proffesor Baloyi
