Edgars Club - Please remind me what I'm paying fo

I am a VIP Edgars Club member, and have been for many years. I recently had to get a new club card due to the old one being damaged. Upon trying to activate it online, the website came back with an error stating that my membership is not active. I then phoned the call centre, and the agent that I spoke to said that he had activated my membership.
I then tried to active my movie benefit on the Ster Kinekor website, only the get the same error message ("Club membership not active.") again. I figured that it might take a while for the activation to reflect on Ster Kinekor's side, so I gave it a week or so and tried again. It was still telling me that my membership was not active. I then submitted a request via the Contact Us page on the Edgars Club website. I received no response. On the 26th of October, I submitted yet another query via the website - to which I have not received a response either.
My account is in good standing, and my club membership fees are paid each month, yet it appears that, in the rare event that I wish to use a benefit, the Edgars Club is refusing to deliver the benefits that I am paying for.
Please remind me what I'm paying for.
