I recently opened a Mr Price account, and should have seen the warning bells then already.

I am now due to pay my first installment, and would like to do so electronically. I have submitted an enquiry to the customer service line, asked at 2 stores and have asked the rude lady that phoned me regarding payment to get somebody to phone me, to assist in this matter.

Nobody at this company seems to understand the concept of customer service-I am NOT doing you a favour by shopping at the chain. Yet that is the general attitude;staff members texting while I'm trying to get some assistance, others standing talking to other staff and ignoring customers. No idea of how store procedures work, unbelievably rude telephone manner, chewing gum while on the shop floor, not ever getting back to me on any matter, always passing me on to another uninformed, untrained person (not my ideal choice of word). Generally unhelpful, rude, obnoxious, uninformed.

I've been told that I don't form part of their "target market". Why, because to me customer service is a given if you are in the service industry, never mind who the customer is.
