Refusal to exchange damaged goods

On sunday 27 October 2013, my 13 year old daughter went to purchase shoes from Jolleys Shoes East London. She went in alone and identified the sparkly gold shoes with shimmer, tried them on under the bright fluorescent which obviously reflected the sparkle and purchased them while the adult she was travelling with was attending to other business in the mall. Upon their arrival at home they discovered the fault on the shoes. Upon returning the shoes on the same day and hour from the time of purchase requesting an exchange she was told head office would need to check the shoe and authorise the exchange. A call was received from head office on 29 October allegating that my 13 year old daughter had burnt the shoe within that one hour period it had left the store and they would not return the cash for a refund or exchange the shoe claiming wear and tear by the customer. It should be noted that not even two hours lapsed between the time of purchase and the return. The consultant at head office insists that my daughter burnt the shoe and they will not refund or exchange. This is an abuse of my rights and i request recourse as the consultant nor can the store clerk prove the allegation and
