Cannot get confirmation of account being closed

I am appalled by this disgusting customer service i have received. I have paid my account in full and have asked that the account be closed and confirmation sent to me. I get no response and no assistance and all i get told when I phone the customer service / Accounts number is that i must wait for 7 days before they can accept a request to close the account... I was told a payment from ABSA to ABSA takes 5 days... WHAT A LOAD OF!!!
Your disgusting customer services is hampering my application for vehicle finance!!!
