I purchased rings at american swiss during Dec 2012. I then went to american swiss to get my ring polished. I was then informed by that assistant that my stone was loose. She sent it away and told me she would get back to me the next day to let me know if it should be fixed. Few days had gone by and I still not heard back from them. I eventually called the store and they were unaware of my ring being sent away. I become rather worried that my ring had now been lost in the process. After much persistence on my part I got feed back that my ring had to be repaired and that it would cost me over R500. Also if I wanted to have it cleaned I had to pay additional costs. I then declined to have it fixed as I did not have money to pay this and I was not wearing the ring due to my fingers beings swollen pf pregnancy.

Few days ago my husband went into sterns to pay an account an mentioned this situation to the person assisting him. He was then told that it is standard policy for the TFG group to fix or replace the ring if it was purchased less than 6 months ago.

I am rather disappointed. I have not worn my ring since.

I want my ring to be repaired and polished free of charge as entitled.
