New Laptop requires repairs

Shops, Products, Services

I bought a Toshiba laptop priced at R3999.00 from Hi-Fi corporation in July 2013. I have hardly used it and only loaded Microsoft Office and the original game "Angry Birds". Whilst working on the machine it switched itself off and now keeps saying the device has a system error. Today I took it to Hi-Fi corporation with the original packaging and proof of purchase. I asked if they could please replace it as it is only two months old. However, the guy helping me said they have to send it in for repairs and this is a a turnaround period of 21 days. I asked what will happen if they cant repair it and his response was "I dont know". Seeing that thia is a new machine I would appreciate if they can replace it as clearly this machine is faulty.
