Customer loyalty does not exist at Homemark

I purchased an air fryer at Home mark on the 29 June 2013. I took it back to the store last saturday for return as it was not doing what it is suppose to be doing. when I purchased the product I was not told how it works, there are no terms and conditions on the slip, the only thing I was told was that- if I am not satisfied with the product I must return it. I Phone customer service today and spokr to the lady called Nozipho who was very proud to tell me that there is nothing wrong with the machine and that she is using it herself and has a huge order to send to neibouring countries to customer who are happy with the product. I dont care if your customers are happy. thats not my business. I am an unhappy customer and I do not want to hear any of their sales and how well their business is doing, I want someone to assist me with the product and advise in a proper way as to why I am not getting any refund or exchange, I will take this matter very further as I am not getting any joy from customer service. I will even write to consumer rights/ ombudsman if it means I must do that.
