Error in account not corrected for 6 months

I returned an item of clothing to the value of R449.50 in April 2013 to the Edgars in Sandton. I then received my May 2013 statement and the account balance did not reflect the item returned.

I retuned to the store, I could not be assisted by anyone and waited for 40 minutes for the store manager, I was late for an appointment and had to leave without resolving the issue. I returned later and the store manager confirmed it was a system error, took my particulars and said she will resolve the matter with IT.

I received my June statement which was still not correct. Since then I have place 14 calls to the Edcon call centre, and 6 calls to Edgars Sandton. The store manager does not return my messages. I have spent 4 hours on the phone and R600 worth of airtime. The value of which exceeds the item I returned.

Edcon has shocking service levels of the store and call centres. Staff are so poorly trained they cant use the system. The call centre is unable to escalate problems or follow up on queries.
