The worst attitude from a sheet street male employ

I just want to advice the sheet street male employee at the boulders in midrand, I happened to go by the shops today during lunch hour with my 3 year old son. As i walked in the shop, the male employee with no name tag approached me in the view of the rest of the customers and shouted at me asking if I will pay should my son break anything. I am not sure how I should have reacted but as a customer, I would walk in the shop with an intention to break - And I didn't not see any sign that says I should walk in the shop only when I am without my son. And no, Boulders might be for lower class people who can be shouted on by petty employees like the one in question but ubuntu should still apply.
A better approach would have been greeting me first, in a proper manner and asked if I was aware that my son was not welcomed to the store given he can break anything that I will have TO PAY FOR. Or rather waited for my son to break something so he can raise his voice AT ME.
What irritated me worse was the fact that the blue decorating y son was holding was meant to be payed regardless of his attitude and we payed for and left the shop with so much disgust.
