Today we finished an hour plus shopping spree with 3 children only to be told at the till that there was a problem with my card ("my available credit limit was too high and so I had to report to customer services"??).
My husband returned furious because at a few minutes past nine he was told there was no one in customer services who could assist us. One staff member even told my husband that the store is closed and people have left because "YOU HAVE A CAR TO GO HOME IN DON"T YOU AND THE STAFF HAVE TO TRAVEL BY TAXI"!
We asked for a manager because we had 2 Baskets full to the brim and items in our hands. The "manager" arrived, huffed and miserable, she embarrassed us and eventually proceeded to tell us that there is a fica problem. I explain that I have been twice to the glen. She was so rude that I ask her to cut my card (been a client for abt 20 years!!!) and we left with 3 unhappy kids. Our 7 yr old was in tears.
All she needed to do was say, look there is a problem which I am unable to fix right now but I can keep the items aside until it is sorted or anything remotely helpful. PLEASE advise S Seripe/Mathabo that I will take my money to a shop where people want to serve me.
