I placed an order 11 September 2013 and was sent a confirmation saying my parcel would arrive 03 October 2013. When I phoned the call centre yesterday 03.10.13 they informed me that the parcel had not arrived. No one emailed or phoned me to inform that my parcel would not be arriving on the date that was given to me. The consultant told me he would contact the supplier and phone me back. No one ever phoned me back.
I phoned again at about 14H00 and the lady I spoke to said she would again contact the suppliers and find out what the problem was. She could not give me a valid reason, only that there was a delay. I phoned again 04.10.13 and spoke to another consultant that told me that my parcel would only be arriving next week but was unable to confirm a date. I needed the parcel by 04.10.13 as it was a birthday present.
This entire situation is embarrassing, unacceptable and time consuming with constant follow ups from my side.

This was my first time dealing with Takealot and I don't think I will be dealing with them again.
