Why bother advertising

Having purchased the September edition of Mens health late in the month, I decided to look for a Golf shirt advertised by Daniel Hechter. I went to Northgate Truworths/DH and enquired about availability. I was told they had no idea about the shirt and I should go to Fourways! I suggested they called Fourways and asked on my behalf as that would be customer service. they did so and were told that I must go there with the magazine and they would source it. I did so and was told they had never received stock and to find it would not happen. I requested to speak to the Manager. The manager told the assistant (with a cannot do attitude) to look on line for the shirt and to locate stock... wow Initiative. A while later I was called and told it was at Eastgate and another store in the south. I requested for it to be sourced and was asked if I had a store card. I do not and was told I would have to go to the stores myself if I wanted it as only card holders can have stock transferred. That was the end of that... DH made no sale. I am a very negative customer with bad referrals for the Group, I would never have any interest in a card, and A Fantastic lose lose situation.
