Cashier says he feels uncomfortable accepting R200

Shops, Products, Services

I visited the PnP liquor outlet in Bellville, where I made a purchase, when came to the cashier he gave me a look and told me that he feels very uncomfortable accepting a new R200 note from me which I got from a ATM earlier, he did some security checks on the note and even compared my note to 1 that was in the drawer, and then again told me that he feels uncomfortable about the note, which I think isn't very good customer service. If the matter was handled differently it would have been different, or the shop should put up a notice to say they will not accept R200 notes as payment.
