R18000.00 White gold ring that turned yellow

I have attach a letter that was sent to Browns Jewellers about our unhappy purchase of an engagement ring.
We still have not recieved any corospondince from browns.
They have the Ring that we handed to they for an assement and they still have our R18000.00 that we paid for the ring.
We have not heard a word from the branch we bought the ring fro or Browns headoffice.
Our Letter to browns is as follows.

To Whom It May Concern,
On the 27 of March 2013, I purchased an 18ct white gold diamond ring for my engagement to the value of R16 999, with the certificate price of R 26 999. Within six weeks I started to notice that my white gold ring was starting to turn yellow. I went back to Browns Nelspruit, where I purchased the ring from and the sales representatives suggested I send it in to be repaired, as well as to find out the reason as to why this occurred. The ring underwent rhodium coating and was subsequently returned to me.
I enquired if I could choose a different ring, but I was thus informed that if I chose a different ring of lesser value, I would not be entitled to be paid the difference. The other alternativ
