Exorbitant price increase

Last month I went to look for dining room tables at @Home and found a very nice one for R4900. This month it costs R8499, 73.45% increase, which is completely exorbitant. I was told that it is due to exchange rates, which can't be true as the exchange rate fell in May/June and has even strengthened recently. So it seems to be just daylight with such an unnecessary and unjustifiable price increase. I would like someone to please get in contact and explain how prices can increase by such a ridiculous amount and be such a rip off.
