POOR COMMUNICATION

On the 3rd of August 2013 I handed in 2 of my watches for repairs as they had just stopped working, on both receipts (including the store copy) "quote requested, 6-8 weeks" was written by the sales consultant as I was out of my warranty period, on the 7th of September I got a call from the store manager to inform me that my watches were ready and the total charge amounted to -R1200.00 (more than my car service) I was horrified as I had not given authorisation to ANYONE and no-one from the store had contacted or communicated me to inform me that my watch indeed needed a service, I was offered a 30% discount and I obviously disagreed to that and was not offered anything further and told on a previous call that if I'm not happy the store will send it back to S Keren and ask them to UN-DO the service as I am not willing to pay, I'm just so tired and upset that I will do just that, whatever happened to Customer service and the clause of "Pre-authorisation of repair or maintenance services"as per the Consumer Protection Act, clearly ASJ does not believe in that, I will no longer be using American Swiss after this disappointing experience.
