Loss of items in basket

I have used kalahari on more than one occasion and have an account with them. I had items in my basket which i was either adding to or taking items out amounting to approx R4000. I log in this morning to take a look and find my basket is sitting at 0. I called and spoke to customer service who said they have migrated over to a new system and so items were not migrated with them. I asked why as customers did we not receive an email advising of this so I would have know to log in and print out a copy of what was in my basket. She advised that a notification was put on the website. How is that helpful??? Why would you know to go to their website for this, not everyone uses the internet everyday or has access to the internet daily. I have no record of what i was wanting to buy. Not only did she then put me on hold so i got the backgorund music as I continued to complain saying if I as a CUSTOMER I had received a generated email I would have known to log on and make a plan she then put the phone down on me.
