Customer to contact the supplier due to a warranty

Good day
I have always been a happy customer at Game Mafikeng, but today that changed.
I had a warranty issue of your Alva sphinx gas BBQ, which caught flame do to a factory fault on it as described by Tony at J&T Energy Centre, Mafikeng, telephone number 018 381 7315.
Prior to taking the product to Game Mafikeng because of the product's weight and size, I consulted with them first and explained everything. I was asked to take the product to them, which I did, after which I was told to take back the product and contact the supplier directly.
I think its unprofessional for the customer to contact the supplier due to a warranty issue for a product bought at Game
