Sold me a product that doesn't perform as he promi

I contacted Riyaz to buy a GHD hair iron, he said he didn't sell that product as there were too many fake GHD's on the market, he convinced me to buy a GSG, claiming that it performed better than the GHD and that it is the best iron on the market, he delivered it to me at work and I paid him R1500, he said he would drop off my invoice/receipt and also a stamped guarantee as the one in the box was not completed. 2 days later I tried the product and to my dismay it worked the same as my normal iron which costs under R300. I contacted Riyaz and told him that the product did not perform as he had promised and that I wanted a refund, he told me that becaused I had used it, I could not return it. I told him that I only had the product for 3 days and with the new CPA he was supposed to refund me because the product did perform as he had promised. He refuses to give me a refund and told me to use it properly, to date I have had no luck with a refund and am very unhappy with this product, I have used a GHD and the results are better than my cheap iron, but I prefer my cheap iron to this GSG that he has sold me. He also had a "don't care" attitude when I tried to get my money back.
