Contravention of Consumer Protection Act

I bought a fragrance on 27/08/2013 that was marked R780 on the box only to realize when I went home that it was scanned R830.I went back into your store on 28/08/3013 to make this error known and have it rectified. Only once I was in your store did I realise that the fragrance had two prices on it R780 on the side of the box and R830 underneath the box. I spoke to your consultant and they told me that he cannot help me as in terms of Truworths policy this is regarded as "human error" and that I have to pay the price that it scanned. I told him that it is not my fault that he priced the fragrance incorrectly, he agreed but still stated that he cannot help. I told them that I want to then credit the item. The consultant said okay. I spoke to and Keith and a coloured lady who reiterated the same comments. It is evident that your "human error" policy is in direct contravention of Section 23 subsection 6 of the Consumer protection Act and I will be taking up this incident further with the Ombudsman. I will credit the fragrance and will definitley close my account. Pathetic service indeed. R50 seems to be more important than good and fair customer service.
