Makro
Damaged steamer and bad attitude from staff

Shops, Products, Services

Approximately 13 months ago I purchased a Philips Steamer from Makro Rossburg, Durban. 3 weeks ago the filling light and alarm sounded even though it was full. I returned it to Makro as it came with a 2 year warranty. It was sent to Philtech in Pinetown for repairs; however they said nothing was wrong with the unit. Last week I collected it from Makro, however my steamer was damaged, initially I thought it was not my unit. Yesterday, 27 August 2013 I returned it to Makro and spoke to Brenda at the returns counter. I have had returns in the past which the staff gladly and professionally resolved; however, I have never in my life been so disrespected. She didn't even give me a chance to finish what I was saying; she kept on interrupting me whilst I was talking. Eventually she phoned for a manager which I had to wait 20 minutes for. I've bought the majority of my appliances, electronic, gardening equipment and monthly groceries from Makro without any issues. I'm and extremely conscientious person, I design yachts and larger vessels for a living, therefore attention to detail is a part of my life. The moment I opened the steamer I knew it was either not mine or it got damaged.
