Repair - WHAT repair - I've been RIPPED OFF!

I bought a 7kg frontloader Whirlpool washing machine (AWO/B7100) on 25/01/2011. We have had it 2.5 years. The machine is used a maximum of 3 days per week. The spin cycle has always been loud, since we've had it but now the spin sound has got even louder and there is now a ticking noise as well while it's spinning. I called for a service on Tues (20 Aug). Got called by guy early yesterday morning who said he would come out to fix machine. I am not home as I work fulltime. He dealt with my domestic. She told him her concern and all he did was look at the machine - didn't even open it up, put a towel in to spin and then said nothing wrong - bearings might need replacing in future and she must only wash 2 towels at a time in the machine. Really? Two towels at a time in a 7kg machine with the exorbitant cost of electricity and the waste of water. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE. I might as well have burnt the R400 call-out fee! I bought an appliance from a large, reputable company. They send me a disinterested, money making sub contractor. I want whirlpool to send a proper repairman out (I am NOT paying call out again) give me a proper diagnostic and a quote and we can then repair.
