I really expected more!

I bought a expensive jersey at Guess, which after wearing twice got a hole it in.

I understand manufacturing faults, they happen and it's OK. So I took it back and the manager on duty informed me told that it needs area managers approval and I would hear back in 2 days. A WEEK later, I'm told no they won't replace it! No reason, nothing!

So I go back to ask for a reason, another store manager is on duty who said that, she would've replaced it on the spot since you can see it's a manufacturing fault. She said she'd check with the area manager again, who once again said that my jersey wouldn't be replaced and gave no reason.

Guess is my wife's favourite shop and we both buy most of our clothes there. This jersey was purchased with a number of other items totalling about R3500.

People pay a hefty premium to buy Guess clothing and do so happily knowing that it is of a superior quality, but when a they won't replace an item due to no fault by the customer, it really leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Why should I pay so much for something, knowing that it's potentially a gamble whether or not it will last?

I really expected more from a high quality (or so I thought) retailer!
